This is a lively discussion Group for Members who have a reasonable
knowledge of computing and like to further that knowledge within
this friendly Group.
This Group is under the Leadership of Jan Robertson and meets on the 4th Thursday of each month in the West Maldon Community Centre at 1pm to 3pm (as many Computer Members wish to carry on with Dancing - also in this Centre).
They are responsible for the Maldon U3A Web Site.
At the November Meeting John Robson showed how to use MS PowerPoint for giving picture shows. To demonstrate this he showed a beautiful series of pictures taken by his Son & Partner during a trip around the Far East. Each picture had the title, e.g "Raffles Hotel Bar" on it.
The speed of showing the picture & the period the picture is displayed could be altered or controlled by his remote mouse from the other side of the room.
After general discussions which ranged from Hidden Files to "What make of computer Printer do I buy to replace my failed one", WiFi and Scams, a nice cup of tea/coffee was produced.
The Group then entered into a number of sub-groups with David Greening (red jersey) & John Robson discussing complex aspects of computing while Allen Buckroyd from Great Baddow U3A (right hand group) demonstrating PhotoShop 7 & PhotoShop Elements & their differences while correcting asymetrical converging verticals.
